Corrective Action

    WARNING

IMMEDIATE LANDING IS REQUIRED WHEN ANY ELECTRICAL CONDITION REQUIRES OPERATION ON MAIN BATTERIES, EBHA AND UPS BATTERIES ONLY (RAT UNAVAILABLE).

    NOTE

Fully charged main batteries will provide approximately 10 minutes of electrical power after two APU start attempts. The EBHA and UPS batteries will provide approximately 30 minutes of electrical power.

  1. Airplane . . . Land as soon as possible
  2. MAIN BATTERIES (Left and Right) . . . ON
  3. FUEL CROSSFLOW . . . OPEN
  4. MAIN FUEL PUMP (Left) . . . ON
  5. MAIN FUEL PUMP (Right) . . . OFF
  6. CAUTION

A MAXIMUM OF TWO, 30-SECOND APU START ATTEMPTS MAY BE PERFORMED WITHIN THE APU START ENVELOPE (37,000 FEET OR LOWER).

  7. APU MASTER . . . ON
  8. APU READY Light . . . Illuminated
  9. Altitude . . . Verify 37,000 feet or below
  10. APU . . . START
  11. When the APU reaches 100% RPM:
    1. APU GEN . . . Verify On
    2. Electrical Load . . . Monitor
    3. MAIN FUEL PUMP (Left and Right) ON
  12. If two APU starts are unsuccessful, then as soon as possible (not longer than 5 minutes):
    1. All Non-Essential Items . . . OFF
    2. CAUTION

AS MAIN BATTERY VOLTAGE DECREASES, OPERATION OF VHF 1 MAY DEGRADE. TURNING ON BKUP VOLUME WILL ALLOW CONTINUED OPERATION OF VHF 1 AND ALLOW COPILOT TO LISTEN TO VHF 1 COMM TRAFFIC.

      NOTE

DU1 and DU4 are powered by the main airplane batteries. Consideration should be given to securing power to one or both DUs (DU1 POP B4, DU4 CPOP B2) if the situation permits, both SFDs will be powered. IRS 1 will be powered by the main airplane batteries; however, IRS 2 and IRS 3 will automatically revert to emergency battery power. Unless required by operational circumstances, it is recommended that IRS 2 and IRS 3 be selected OFF to preserve EMERGENCY POWER resources.

    3. EMERGENCY POWER . . . Verify Armed
  13. Approach and Landing
    1. FLAPS . . . 20°
    2. GPWS FLAP INHIBIT . . . Select
    3. Airspeed . . . 175 KCAS maximum
    4. EMER LDG GEAR Handle . . . Pull
    5. LANDING GEAR . . . DOWN
    6. CAUTION

THRUST REVERSERS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.

    7. Flaps 20° Landing . . . Perform
