AFM Procedure

Possible Cause

Ground spoilers failed (multiple input signals failed or two or more pairs of spoilers are inoperative).

System Impacts

Landing Rollout Distances: Failure of ground spoilers will result in increased landing rollout distances.

Corrective Action

NOTE

  1. If Antiskid Fail (caution) CAS message is displayed:
  2. NOTE

    Cycling the INBD and OUTBD BRAKE CTRL circuit breakers (POP, E-3 and CPOP, E-3) may clear the Antiskid Fail (caution) CAS message and restore normal anti-skid and ground spoiler operations.

    a. INBD BRAKE CTRL: POP, D-3 . . . PULL and RESET

    b. OUTBD BRAKE CTRL: CPOP, D-3 . . . PULL and RESET

  3. If the Ground Spoilers Fail (U) CAS message remains displayed:
  4. a. AUTOBRAKES . . . HIGH or OFF

    CAUTION

    IF AUTOBRAKES ARE USED, THE LANDING DISTANCE FACTOR MUST BE APPLIED TO THE HIGH MODE PERFORMANCE DATA. AUTOBRAKE LOW AND MEDIUM MODES PERFORMANCE DATA ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR THIS CONDITION.

    b. Landing Distance . . . Recalculate with a 1.55 factor

  5. Landing
  6. a. Reverse Thrust . . . Apply maximum
