Landing Gear Failure to Retract

G500 Abnormal Procedures

AFM Procedure

[AFM, §03-17-10]

Corrective Action

  1. Airspeed . . . 225 KCAS or less

  2. Airplane . . . Maintain 1G flight

  3. If the Steer by Wire Fail (caution) CAS message is displayed:

  4. NOTE

    If the nosewheel becomes jammed beyond 1.5° of neutral, the landing gear will not retract and the Steer By Wire Fail (caution) CAS message will be displayed.

    1. Landing Gear Handle . . . Down

    2. Refer to 3B-19-210, Steer by Wire Fail.

  5. If landing gear handle will not move:

    1. LOCK RELEASE Button . . . PUSH

    2. LANDING GEAR . . . UP

  6. If the landing gear handle moves, but the landing gear does not retract:

    1. LANDING GEAR / Lights. . . DOWN / 3 green

    2. LDG GEAR CTRL CBs . . . Check / RESET (if required)
      LDG GEAR CTRL 1: POP, D-2
      LDG GEAR CTRL 2: SSPC 3206

    3. Left Hydraulic System Quantity / Pressure . . . Check

  7. If the left hydraulic system quantity and pressures are abnormal:

    1. Refer to 04-15-20, Left Hydraulic System (L SYS) Failure - Loss of Pressure and Fluid.

  8. If the left hydraulic system quantity and pressures are normal:

    1. EMER LDG GEAR Handle . . . Verify pushed in

    2. Nose Gear and Main Gear Dump Valves (OHPTS/Hyd). . . Select

    3. LANDING GEAR . . . UP

  9. If the landing gear fails to retract:

  10. NOTE

    It is possible that the landing gear safety pins were not removed. The landing gear cannot be retracted if the landing gear safety pins are installed.

    1. LANDING GEAR / Lights. . . DOWN / 3 green

    2. Airplane . . . Return to land
