Unsafe Landing Gear Indication / Failure to Extend

AFM Procedure

[AFM, §03-17-20]

Corrective Action

    NOTE

    The landing gear control panel position indications take precedence over that displayed on the flight control synoptic page.

    In the case of a total DCN failure, or dual RDC 15 and RDC 17 failure, all landing gear indications will be unavailable, normal control of landing gear is still available.

  1. If a Landing Gear CAS message is not displayed:
    1. ANN Lights . . . Test

    2. If the ANN lights test confirms a failed gear light bulb, and the flight control synoptic gear indication is normal:

    3. (1) Normal Landing . . . Conduct

  2. If gear lights are operable and unsafe gear indication remains:

    1. LDG GEAR CTRL CBs . . . PULL and RESET
      LDG GEAR CTRL 1: POP, D-2
      LDG GEAR CTRL 2: SSPC 3206

    2. LANDING GEAR Handle . . . Verify DOWN

    3. EMER LDG GEAR Handle . . . Verify pushed in

  3. If the gear is still unsafe:

    1. Airspeed . . . 175 KCAS or less

    2. EMER LDG GEAR Handle . . . Pull

  4. If gear indication is normal:

    1. Normal Landing . . . Conduct

    2. After Landing
    3. LANDING GEAR Safety Pins . . . Install


  5. If the gear remains unsafe:

    1. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
    2. Nose Gear Retracted, Both Main Gear Down and Locked

      One Main Gear and Nose Gear Down and Locked, Opposite Main Gear Retracted

      One Main Gear Only Down and Locked

      Both Main Gear Retracted, Nose Gear Down and Locked

      All Gear Up Landing Procedure
