Bleed Pressure High - Dual

G500 Abnormal Procedures

AFM Procedure

[AFM, §03-21-60]

Possible Cause

Bleed air pressure has exceeded 75 PSI on both BAS.

System Impacts

  • Cabin Altitude: Unavailable with both bleeds failed.

  • Wing Anti-Ice: Unavailable.

Corrective Action

  1. ENG BLEED AIR (Left and Right) . . . OFF

  2. Altitude . . . Coordinate immediate descent

  3. CAUTION

    CABIN ALTITUDE WILL CLIMB WITH BOTH BLEED AIR SYSTEMS OFF AND WILL REACH 8000 FEET IN APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES AT NORMAL CRUISE ALTITUDES. DO NOT DELAY DESCENT.

  4. Pressurization . . . Verify cabin climb rate

  5. Airplane . . . Depart icing conditions

  6. WAI . . . OFF

  7. If Bleed Air is not required to complete the flight:

    1. Go to Step 8.

  8. If Bleed Air is required to complete the flight:

    1. Isolation Valve . . . Closed (Out)

    2. ECS/PRESS Synoptic Page . . . Select

    3. ENG BLEED AIR (Left or Right) (single only) . . . ON

    4. If the system operates normally with single bleed selected:

    5. (1) ECS . . . Monitor Single Pack Operations

    6. If the Bleed Pressure High CAS message is displayed:

    7. (1) ENG BLEED AIR (Left and Right) . . . OFF

      (2) ENG BLEED AIR (Left or Right) (Opposite Engine) . . . ON

    8. If the system operates normally with single bleed selected:

    9. (1) ECS . . . Monitor Single Pack Operations

    10. If If the Bleed Pressure High CAS message is displayed:

    11. (1) ENG BLEED AIR (Left and Right) . . . OFF

  9. Continued Flight with Both Bleeds Secured

    1. RAM AIR (OHPTS / ECS) . . . Select

    2. Altitude Descend to 10,000 feet or minimum enroute altitude (if higher)

    3. CPC FAULT / MANUAL Switch . . . MANUAL

    4. NOTE

      Continued flight with the TROV full open prevents cabin overheat conditions.

    5. CABIN ALT Knob . . . Climb (Full Open)

    6. Airplane . . . Land as soon as practicable
