AFM Procedure

[AFM, §04-21-20]

Possible Cause

The cabin altitude has climbed above predetermined limits based on the landing field elevation.

Corrective Action

  1. Crew Oxygen Masks . . . Don

  2. COMM JACKS . . . MASK

  3. Passenger Oxygen Masks . . . Deploy manually and verify deployed

  4. POWER LEVERS . . . IDLE

  5. Airplane . . . Initial FPA of - 8° to -10°

  6. Airspeed . . . MMO / VMO

  7. NOTE

    The FCS may enter AOA limiting mode if the speed brakes are extended at a rapid rate while the airplane is in a bank or the airspeed is significantly lower than MMO / VMO.

  8. SPEED BRAKE . . . EXTEND

  9. SEAT BELT / NO SMOKE PASSENGER WARNING . . . ON

  10. Transponder Code . . . Set 7700

  11. ATC Notify

  12. Airplane Level off at 10,000 feet or minimum enroute altitude (if higher)

  13. Pressurization . . . Restore

    1. Refer to 04-21-40, Loss of Automatic Pressurization Control.

  14. If unable to restore cabin pressurization, then to provide cabin airflow:

    1. RAM AIR (OHPTS / ECS) . . . Select
