AFM Procedure

Possible Cause

Pack outlet temperature exceeds 160°F.

System Impacts

  • Dual Pack Failure: Cabin altitude will climb with both packs failed and should reach 8000 feet in approximately 3 minutes at normal cruise altitudes.

Corrective Action

  1. POWER LEVERS . . . Reduce

  2. ECS Packs (Left and Right) . . . OFF

  3. Altitude Coordinate immediate descent

  4. CAUTION

    CABIN ALTITUDE WILL CLIMB WITH BOTH PACKS SECURED. DO NOT DELAY DESCENT.

  5. Pressurization . . . Verify cabin climb rate

  6. RAM AIR (OHPTS / ECS) . . . Select

  7. CPC FAULT / MANUAL Switch . . . MANUAL

  8. NOTE

    Continued flight with the TROV full open prevents cabin overheat conditions.

  9. CABIN ALT Knob . . . Climb (Full Open)

  10. Altitude . . . Descend to 10,000 feet or minimum enroute altitude (if higher)

  11. Airplane . . . Land as soon as practicable
