AFM Procedure

[AFM, §3A-01-40]

Possible Cause

The APU fire detection system has detected a fire.

Corrective Action

  1. In Flight

    • APU MASTER OFF

    • APU FIRE EXT PRESS and RELEASE

    • APU Fire Indications Monitor

    • If APU fire indications remain:

    • (1) Airplane Land as soon as possible

      (2) After Landing

      (a) Airplane Stop

      (b) Refer to 04-19-50, Emergency Airplane Evacuation.

    • If APU fire indications extinguish:

    • (1) Airplane Land at nearest suitable airport

  2. On Ground

    • APU MASTER OFF

    • APU FIRE EXT PRESS and RELEASE

    • APU Fire Indications Monitor

    • Refer to 04-19-50, Emergency Airplane Evacuation.
