AFM Procedure

[AFM, §04-06-50]

Corrective Action

  1. Airspeed . . . Maintain 200 KCAS minimum

  2. Altitude . . . Plan to arrive overhead landing field at 5000 feet AAL

  3. GPWS FLAP INHIBIT . . . Select

  4. Over intended landing field:

    1. FLAPS . . . 0-10°

    2. Airspeed . . . Maintain 180-200 KCAS

    3. Airplane . . . Establish 25° bank turn

  5. On downwind abeam desired touchdown zone at 3000 feet AAL:

    1. Airplane . . . Establish 25° bank turn

    2. FLAPS . . . 20°

    3. RAT GEN . . . OFF (if required)

    4. Aux Pump . . . Armed / On

    5. Airspeed . . . VREF (20° Flaps) + 20 KCAS

  6. When touchdown on runway is assured:

    1. EMER LDG GEAR Handle . . . Pull

    2. LANDING GEAR Handle . . . DOWN

  7. If landing long, or if landing distance is critical:

    1. FLAPS . . . DOWN

  8. Landing

    1. Rudder / Brakes / NOSEWHEEL STEERING . . . Maintain directional control

    2. After stopped:

    3. (1) PARKING BRAKE . . . Set

      (2) Passengers and Crew . . . Evacuate

      (a) Refer to the appropriate procedure(s):

      1. 04-19-50, Emergency Airplane Evacuation, or

      2. 04-19-30, Emergency Escape Routes
