AFM Procedure

[AFM, §04-10-50]

Corrective Action

    NOTE

    There are no cockpit indications of a tailpipe fire. The most likely method of alert will be from ground crew. Confirm affected engine with ground crew before taking action.

  1. POWER LEVERS . . . IDLE

  2. Affected Engine . . . Identify

  3. FUEL CONTROL (Affected Engine) . . . OFF

  4. APU BLEED AIR (if APU running) . . . ON

  5. Isolation Valve . . . Closed (out)

  6. Engine Crank (Affected Engine) . . . Select

  7. ENG START . . . PUSH

  8. SVO . . . Check

  9. Engine Cranking Cycle . . . Continue until the fire is out

  10. Engine Crank (Affected Engine) . . . Deselect

  11. Remaining Engine . . . Shut down

  12. APU . . . Shut down if necessary
